C.C. Quorum Court Tackles Busy Agenda |
KTHS Photo Alex Haynes, a resident of Grassy Knob area, asks J.P.'s for a yearly report of taxes collected and monies spent on road work in that area. Haynes said the feeling of "political favors" would be alleviated with more openess. He said residents feel the rural area west of Eureka Springs is not getting it's fair share of road work and repairs.
KTHS Photo Rex, one of two of the County's drug dogs, waits with his handler, Deputy/K-9 Handler, Justin Wagner and Carroll County Sheriff Bob Grudek, at Friday's Quorum Court meeting, to see if J.P.'s approve a $10,000 request to purchase a drug dog to replace Rex. Rex has health problems and will need to retire from active duty. Some J.P.s questioned the need for two drug dogs in a small county, but still approved the request, with no objections. Carroll County Election Results |
KTHS Photos Carroll County Election Commissioners Tuesday, were pleased with the smoothness of the tally of the ballots after the Partisan Primary election. Left, Commission Chairman Levi Phillips. Right photo, left to right, Phillips, David Hoover and Joe Goforth. Electronic counting machines performed well, especially after turning 'down' the thermostat to a very cold temperature. It must have worked, but those waiting in the gallery for results and most poll workers were clad in sweaters and winter coats. The count was completed by 11:15pm in the Eastern District Courthouse. Select the link below (Read More) to see results of the Primary. Write Comment (0 comments) |
